Feed The Flock Of God Kenya Mission
at East Cobb United Methodist Church

Our Mission: “To link the people of God together as we march to Zion.”

Initially established in 2004, this mission was created at first to reach the Kiswahili speaking community of East Africa (comprised of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania) who are now residing in the Atlanta, Georgia area of the United States. Since that time, however, we have grown to a fellowship of nearly 200, and have become so inclusive that we now involve people from many other parts of the world as well.

This ministry is an integral part of the ongoing mission and ministry of East Cobb United Methodist Church in Marietta, Georgia, and our Pastor – Rev. Peter Kaimathiri M'Tuamwari (click here for his biography) – is appointed by the Bishop of North Georgia United Methodist Conference as a part of the clergy team of East Cobb UMC.

We currently offer regular times for worship, bible study, a ministry for youth, children, and a hospitality ministry for new residents.

* Sunday Fellowship: Our Fellowship meets every Sunday at 3.00 p.m., alternating with exciting worship one Sunday, and Bible study and prayers the next Sunday.

* Wednesday Fellowship: We have fellowship for study and prayer that meets every Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. in homes of our fellowship members.

* Youth ministry: The Kenyan Youth Group meets at East Cobb UMC for fellowship and soccer and other games every Saturday at 3:00 pm. The youth who live far from East Cobb and that have no transport can be picked up and carried to our church with the permission of parents.

* Children’s Sunday School: We have a moment of teaching for our children during our worship time on Sundays, and are thankful to God for the Sunday school teachers who devote their time and talents to teach our children about our culture and Christian values.

* Hospitality Ministry: We also have a ministry to Kenyans and other community members in which we provide house goods (beds, beddings, seats, kitchen ware, etc.) to those who are new residents in our area. The purpose of this ministry is to help newcomers to Georgia to settle in their new home easier.

We invite all people to our fellowship, where you will find a warm welcome in the name of Christ! For more information, contact Pastor Kaimathiri at 770-971-3643 or email him at peter@eastcobbumc.org.
